Pressure Washing

Pressure washing steps taken Before and After service

When pressure washing a client's home, it's essential to follow a thorough and careful process to ensure the job is done effectively and safely. Here’s a structured outline of steps our company takes:

1. Pre-Inspection and Consultation

Walk around the property: Inspect the home for any fragile areas (windows, siding, electrical outlets, etc.) that may need special care or protection. Take before photos as well.

Discuss client needs: Understand specific concerns, such as mold, dirt, or specific stains they want addressed.

Note any potential hazards: Identify plants, outdoor furniture, or other property items that may need protection during the process.

2. Prepare the Area

Move objects away from the house: Remove or cover items like outdoor furniture, grills, or decorations to avoid damage.

Protect vulnerable areas: Cover electrical outlets, light fixtures, and delicate plants with plastic or waterproof materials.

Seal doors and windows: Ensure they are tightly closed to prevent water from entering the home.

3. Pre-Treat Stains and Mold

Apply cleaning agents: Use eco-friendly detergents or specialized cleaners for mold, mildew, or tough stains, allowing them to sit for several minutes to break down grime.

Spot treat stubborn areas: Use soft scrubbing for delicate surfaces before pressure washing, especially on sensitive siding materials.

4. Pressure Washing Process

Use the right pressure settings: Adjust the pressure based on the material being cleaned. Softer materials like wood or vinyl require lower pressure, while brick and concrete can handle higher pressures.

Start from the top down: Begin at the top of the house and work your way down, ensuring dirt and water flow downwards.

Maintain safe distance: Keep a safe distance between the nozzle and the surface to avoid damage, especially on softer surfaces.

Use appropriate nozzles: Choose the correct nozzle for different surfaces to ensure efficient and safe cleaning (e.g., wider spray for soft surfaces, narrower for concrete).

5. Post-Washing Procedures

Rinse thoroughly: Ensure all detergent and grime are thoroughly washed away. Double-check areas near windows, doors, and corners.

Check for missed spots: Perform a walkaround to ensure no areas were overlooked, and touch up any spots that need additional attention.

6. Final Inspection and Cleanup

Client walk-through: Once the cleaning is complete, walk through the property with the client to ensure satisfaction. Take after photos as well.

Clean up work area: Remove all protective coverings, gather equipment, and return furniture and items to their original spots.

Dispose of any chemicals properly: Ensure that all detergents and waste materials are disposed of according to local regulations.

7. Post-Service Recommendations

Provide maintenance tips: Offer advice on keeping the home clean after washing, including suggestions for re-treatment or annual cleaning.

This process ensures a professional approach to pressure washing, enhancing client satisfaction while protecting the property from potential damage.
